Sonny is the weatherman as well as the anchorman of Good Morning, Amberwood!, a news network controlled by the Mayor. While his job is to provide accurate weather forecasts, he is also often told to report false stories to manipulate citizens. Though he is the Mayor's 'bitch', Sonny plays his part in the bestial activism of the city, believing that all intelligent beings deserve the same rights.

He would appear a little gullible and otherwise happy-go-lucky, but Sonny merely pretends in order to appease his boss, who would fire him the second he caught wind of his moonlight job as an informant to Diandre.
