As a child, Eric Silvergleam showed remarkable magical abilities, which troubled the village leaders. They saw darkness growing in his heart and feared that he would follow the path of destruction. Because of this, Eric's father tried his best to keep his son from using magic. One fateful day, Eric lost control of his powers and accidentally caused a catastrophe in the marketplace, injuring many people. The leaders demanded Eric be locked away before his powers grew any further. Escaping an angry mob of villagers, the boy and his father fled deep into the forest. While trekking through the woods, they encountered wild beasts. Eric's father lost his life protecting his son from the creatures.

Scared and alone, Eric wandered the forest until he was taken in by a group of goblins. The ruler of the goblins was well-versed in the ways of magic and agreed to teach Eric as long as the boy promised to help the goblins with their mischief. Eric spent years honing his magic skills within the goblins' domain, vowing revenge against those who had shunned him.

He now terrorizes the land with his wizardry, determined to be the most powerful man in the world. He does not like the company of other humans, considering the goblins to be his true family. When not wreaking havoc, he can usually be found reading or playing the violin. Eric is known for his vanity. His room is full of mirrors, and he loves the sight of his own reflection. He's a bit of a worrywart who tries to prepare for the worst case scenario. He's always scheming.
