Bartholomew is, for lack of a better word, batsh*t insane. He believes himself to be of a new species called the Fantail Opossum when in reality he just tied a fan he found in the dumpster behind the local antique shop onto the tip of his tail. He will scream in agony if you attempt to remove this fan, as he truly believes it is a part of his body.

Bartholomew also leads other Opossums in his insane delusion, and has a group dedicated to the 'endangered' Fantail Opossum. Every single Fantail Opossum following Bartholomew is pretty much just as nuts as he is, though sometimes in different ways. Some of them believe that they can breath fire, while others think that they're super heroes. Still others are completely sure that space reptiles are coming after their breakfast cereals! In any case, it's best not to try and talk this new 'species' out of their delusions as things can get hairy very fast.
