My old reference sheet was not accurate anymore. No fluffy ears, bad anatomy… Everytime I wanted an artist to draw Nanashi, I had to tell them to be careful with the ears, send them multiple files… What a pain in the ass, for them and for me.

I tried to draw a new refsheet by myself, but it was a big fail haha. I couldn't manage to draw Nanashi the way I wanted him to be. Then, I bought an egg to the awesome abelsword… And I immediatly wanted them to draw my new ref. So here it is :D

Personality:
Nanashi is a kind and playful dog. He is easy to talk to, trustworthy and honest. However, he is rather shy and easy to impress.

Story:
Nanashi is an Inugami, a “Dog-god”. Being too lazy to do his job correctly, he was banished from his plan of existence and sentenced to live a physical life. Oddly enough, he seems to enjoy his punishment a lot, and chose to get the most out of it.

Inugami are not the kind of gods we people of European cultures refer to. They have almost no power, they are way closer to our spirits and ghosts than to gods like Jehova or Odin. They are not “unique”, there are “breeds” amongst them, as there are breeds in the animal kingdom. Inugami are guardian spirits, they are meant to protect their master, and in some cultures they are also meant to guide dead souls through their spiritual journey.
