About him...

Nael is the quiet type, so he doesn't talk much unless he knows someone well. He isn't unfriendly, but is really shy around new individuals, and finds it hard to make friends, but extremely easy to make enemies(?). Many people don't approach him due to some people feeling pressured by his presence, and the idea that he is very cold to people seems to be a common rumor. Coming off as a nearly no-nonsense person doesn't help his case though. He is rather uptight, but it mainly comes from a fear of being judged by others, giving way to a light insecurity in himself. Despite that, His brother, friends and whoever else he may have been with will tell you just about the opposite of whatever can be assumed of him: He's protective, attentive, caring to a fault, a romantic, and a real sweet fox... once you get past the myriads of barbed wire that come from past experiences...

A little history...

Raised in the rich child's life, Nael never really had much exposure to others. Private tutoring only solidified this. He wasn't fond of other kids (primarily because he wasn't as rough and tumble as other boys, but wasn't a sissy, so he got picked on for being weird), was highly evasive of people due to shyness, and was very detached from his mother, who raised him alone and was usually off with other men. This resulted in him being difficult to deal with for a very long time by many who would try and get close to him, resulting in broken relations, and lost friends. As a response, he shut himself away from others growing up, thinking something was wrong with him. spending his time working on computers and the like. Even being born into money and the high-society perks that came with it didn't appeal to him. As a result, he ran from that life, and lived on his own. He has since become rather jaded, but is really just looking for people to get close to, preferably without being hurt.

He's managed to make a few friends, and siblings along the way, and seems to be growing out, little by little...

His species

Nael is a Nine-tailed fox, though lives as a regular anthro, keeping the other tails hidden via magic. He prefers to keep his powers and abilities hidden, unless he can work them in everyday living. He is actually quite young for his species, ringing in at around 6000+ years. This is equivalent to being a teenager or young adult to other beings of his kind. He rarely reveals this information to others, unless he feels they can be trusted with this information.
