If you didn't already know Mitzi personally, you'd probably think she was quite an oddball at first sight--she is shy yet outspoken, tomboyish yet with feminine traits, and loving yet not afraid to give the cold shoulder. Descended from two unicorns, it was quite the puzzle as to why an earth pony would surface from a pureblooded relationship, but Mitzi's parents didn't question it and loved her as she was. And that's really all Mitzi wants--for ponies to love her as she is. Strange as she may be.

Mitzi grew up taking potions lessons with her mother, who was an experienced magic user but could not properly teach Mitzi seeing that...well, Mitzi has no magic of her own. This didn't bother the young filly though and she was an eager learner and quite a quick study at that. She soon began to dabble in other things that would allow her to freely express herself besides potions, and eventually earned her cutie mark through her creativity--the skull and crossbones representing her strange ability to turn everyday objects into awe-inspiring and often dangerous things. When she became a full-grown mare, she left her parents to travel throughout Equestria on her own.

Along the way, she bumped into the Changeling hive and was taken prisoner by Queen Chrysalis, who would have killed her had she not noticed that Mitzi seemed to radiate true, undying love and loyalty. Seeing an open opportunity to amplify her powers, she agreed to let Mitzi stay as her "lover" provided that she could drain Mitzi's love on a daily basis to sustain herself. Though forced at first Mitzi soon grew to love Chrysalis, and even the queen herself felt faint feelings stirring for the young earth mare. She ordered Mitzi to swear loyalty to the Changeling hive; Mitzi openly agreed upon this pact so long as she could come and go as she pleased. Though reluctant to do so, Chrysalis did not want to lose what was then her only source of daily love and agreed upon this idea.

While in her travels through Canterlot, she met Prince Lucid Fantasy, who had recently ascended to alicornhood after defeating an evil overlord named Ersever. The little prince was still very unsure of what to do with his newfound royalty and a little insecure; Mitzi decided that she would help him out and the two became fast friends...soon becoming something even more within a few months. Much as it stung, Mitzi left Chrysalis in order to be with Lucid, although she kept her promise to swear loyalty to the Changeling hive and would not interfere with anything they should do.

Mitzi currently resides in Ponyville for the time being with her friends and family, and of course her beloved prince, whom she loves with all her heart. Easy to get along with and quick to make new friends, she is truly a happy mare...and in her eyes, that's all that matters to her really.
