Yes, another plus sized lady of mine. I actually got her from a character auction from Brulee back in 2012 (Well at least the character design anyway), and after I won the bidding I made her into a superheroine named Madame Mass. ( https://www.weasyl.com/submission/1293447/madame-mass-to-the-rescue ). And here is her bio I made for Ramona.

Super-power: To expand her body to any size by any means, and have her body be able to do it on its own. Whether it is by fat, muscle, weight, air, water, or goo, her body can create them and make herself expand to ginormous sizes. She can expand to be the size of a rampaging monster without changing her figure. And she can also expand any part of her body for any situation, like making one of her arms super muscular to break through steel walls. The downside is that expanding her body parts would only short bursts and can only last for a limited time. We also have to keep in mind that muscle takes a lot more energy to make and takes a lot more time to develop then the other forms of expansion as it requires her muscle to bulk up and harden up; whereas with the other forms it just requires bulking up with the subject in question. Another big problem is that since Ramona is still a complete novice with her powers, she may be stuck at that size for quite a while till the power wears off, depending on her size; the bigger she is, the longer it takes. Another problem is that since she is completely inexperienced, she would accidentally set off her powers and would get herself into awkward situations.

Personality: She is considered to be pretty darn perky and optimistic. She is certainly not the smartest girl in the world, but she is nowhere near a ditz as some people think. She’s just very trusting and always looks for the goodness in people’s hearts, and unfortunately that trusting personality can make her an easy pawn for people who are pretty good manipulators. She also has a tendency to be pretty gluttonous; as the figure shows that she has a certain love for cuisine and baked goods, so more often than not showing her a cupcake could easily get you her trust.

But when she is Madame Mass, it’s almost a complete 180. She embodies a profound confidence, and isn’t afraid to kick some bad guy booty, though her trusting issue is still present, especially present when her super-hero partner is the one manipulating her. Thankfully though she doesn’t get fooled easily when it comes to super villains and bad guys, it’s almost impossible to convince even.

Background: Ramona’s mother Bernadette –where she inherited the raccoon DNA- was one of the leading scientists at the Jackson Tyler Laboratory run by the federal government for genetic and mutation research. Her father Oliver –of course her bear side of the family- was the director of the laboratory, and would often take her daughter to the lab for a visit. Yes, very irresponsible but that’s how his father was. One day when Ramona was in Gr. 4, it was take your daughter to work day and since Ramona was their only child, they decided to both take her to the laboratory. A very smart idea considering the place is full of chemicals, mutagen proteins and stuff that can alter one’s DNA; it’s a very smart move.

Needless to say it didn’t work out; while the parents momentarily focused on the work pile in front of them, the portly little girl wandered off around the laboratory and came across a lab that was testing a mutagen for the military that can alter one’s genetic structure and DNA to give the recipient superpowers, all concentrated in a glowing yellow liquid that is in a small glass vial lying on the counter, which implies that you have to take this stuff orally. There were two problems though; the first being that since this was a test sample, the mutagen was not perfect and would give the recipient a random power, not to mention slightly unstable. The second is that the damn vial was in an open spot; anyone can take it, and I mean anyone. As you can imagine, Ramona took it, thinking it was some new form of lemonade, gulping the mutagen, not realizing that her DNA was altering as they speak, and that she may have cost a few scientists they’re jobs.

It wasn’t till she just finished high school that she discovered her superpowers, she saw a robbery being committed in a convenience store she was shopping at and immediately panicked. She ran toward the robber and attempted a punch, not realizing that her fist ballooned into a giant muscle filled behemoth, which made the robber flew 90 feet after getting a super punch into the face. That’s when she decided she wanted to be a superhero, and thus Madame Mass was born.
