Personality: Peng is a shy brick-house with a heart. Though he’s a big guy, deep down he can be a very sweet person to know. Except for when he’s in his group of friends, or when on the job, he can be shy and tend to keep to himself. Of course the thing he enjoys most is cooking, he constantly looks for new dishes and cooking methods to further enhance his already considerably high level of culinary skill, so in this way, he can be a perfectionist. Besides cooking, in his spare time he also enjoys fishing, hiking, gardening, and going to auto shows.

Background and Job: Peng was born in Guangzhou, China. At the age of 5, he and his family relocated to the United States, but they travel back to China once, or twice a year to visit relatives, this helped Peng retain much of his heritage. For the past 4 years, he has been working at a world-renowned restaurant, and was even recently promoted to sous chef. Even though this job is high-paced and competitive, he has proven to be very successful in this career track, and he enjoys it very much.

About his name: Peng means “Big”, and Xiao-Ping means “Little Peace”.
