Taelune is a cat-like race from our neighboring Galaxy Andromeda, her home planet is called Zephyr by English speakers. Most call her race Zephyrens, after her home planet.

Her race have a remarkable gift for adaption, one of these traits that is commons within her whole race is the ability to change gender to aid with reproduction. The change usually occurs when they inhale the pheromones of someone of the same gender during a time of arousal, before a menstrual/heat cycle, etc.

Females will turn into males (usually) when the female they're isolated with is deemed weaker than them.

Males will turn into females (usually) when the male they'r isolated with is deemed stronger than them.

They can also change gender on will with enough practice and training, but at most is usually only lasts for about an hour, and they could only change ever 6 hours.

Sex changes aren't a problem on their own planet since they have a mating season twice a year, but around other races with a similar genetic makeup, such as humans, this can become quit an issue with gender shifts happening quite often if they're isolated with one person.

Their secondary ability is to gain a power to benefit them in their environment, since Taelune was raised on a space station around technology all her life, she has developed the ability to transfer herself into machinery, electronics, and even the internet, leaving her physical body behind. However if whatever machine or electronic she is in at the time is destroyed, she can very well be placed in a coma, or even risk death. While in the machine though, she can control it as easily as she would her own body. The 'soul' however cannot be separated from the body too long, unless she is getting support from someone on the outside, because she can starve, or dehydrate, not to mention she is very vulnerable.

Gender shifts do not start to happen until the individual is about thirteen years of age, secondary abilities can develop any time, but usually are mastered before eighteen years of age.

This is just a rough sketch idea, for Taelune's Design, that white "swimsuit" like outfit is basically the space station's version of underwear, it will modify itself to suit either of her genders.

She refers to herself as a female unless she is a male at the time, none of that shi, or hir crap.
