Sae is an organic, tailless, feline with a symbiotic bond to a nanobot gel called Cytognocite*. It mostly resides in her skeleton. She has orifices or "ports" on her back, head, tailbone and fingertips which allow her to store the nanobot gel outside her body (as wings, horns, fingernails and a tail). In its liquid form, the Cytognocite glows flourescent green, it becomes a metallic, nacreous black when it crystalizes (think Stephanite). In low light/darkness, her skeleton can be seen glowing through the thinner parts of her skin. She is able to control the shape and material state (liquid/hard/crystalized) of the gel.

FEATURES

Super-strength

Sae can resorb her tail, horns and wings back into her body to give her immense strength. The Cytognocite will create a strengthening and reinforcing mesh through her muscles and skin. Visually, her muscles swell, and you can see the mesh slightly through her skin. It darkens and glows as it liquifies and crystallizes. Because she is still mostly organic, this can be very hard on her body, so while she trains herself to control it, she also only uses this ability for short times in emergencies.

Limited Healing

The same mechanism that gives her super-strength can assist with healing. The mesh can almost instantly close wounds with super-surgical precision. It's still up to her body to heal the wound. She is still vulnerable to disease.

Prehensibility

Because Sae can control the shape and material state of the Cytognocite, it allows her to have some control over the purely-gel parts. Her tail, wings and horns can be prehensile but it takes her a lot of concentration, she is still learning to control them.

Flight

As with Prehensibility, controlling her wings enough to take flight requires a lot of concentration. So far, Sae only has the ability to use the wings to glide or slow her fall like a parachute.

Nervous System

To give Sae control over the Cytognocite, it's always connected to her nervous system. It can actually conduct and transmit signals faster than her organic nervous system, which gives her the ability to override certain signals (for example, the Cytognocite can neutralize pain signals before they reach the brain). She can also allow some to enter certain parts of her brain to increase focus and reaction time. However, Cytognocite can have a drug-like effect on certain parts of her brain and can cause her personality to change. She does not have full control over these effects yet so she mostly chooses to avoid it.
