Flora was hatched in a flowering tree while Fauna was born one tree over. Flora grew up to love flowers and the fruit that came from it. Fauna fell in love with the gryph who was always collecting flowers. He made friends with many small animals while trying to get closer to her. He sent his friends with gifts of flowers and fruit to her instead of going himself as he was too shy. When Fauna's mating gift came by way of bush baby, she was intrigued enough to get to know him. Eventually they became mates, and to mark that fact, they exchanged rings that they had found one day while flying together near a human settlement. Later they also found a pair of earrings that they decided to share. Though not all their life has been rainbows and butterflies- they have survived a forest fire that destroyed their childhood homes as well as poachers. Through everything, they've stuck together and found their way through life.
