Scuro is more of an introvert who just enjoys reading about dark magic and hanging out with his closest friends.
He considers Claret one of his best friends, despite of his obvious crush on him.

Unlike other ponies, Scuro is able to cast dark magic spells and rewrite them so that others can cast them as well, without them getting all the negative effects that usually come with these dark magic spells. With this, he makes it able to change some pony's gender or race, though it does take a lot of magical ability.
