Thorin was a knight who used to live in the outskirts of a village, but then the village got into some Vampire war with the Marauding/Surface clan of vampires. Causing Thorin to be drafted to help fight them off, leaving behind his wife and newborn daughter (Samster). During one battle he got bit by a vampire rogue who was sneaking around killing off the best men around, but that rogue 'feel in love' with Thorin. So much so that when she heard about him being married to someone in the village, she went on her own and killed the wife off and was about to kill the child, Thorin came in the house and knocked her out. Taking his daughter to his loving half brother who was leaving the village for the better of both his life and his wife's. Thorin gave them his daughter so she would have a better and more safer life. He explained to his brother about his situation, since that bite he got was spellbound, which could make him feral if given the amount of time that it goes untreated. Then he took off into the woods, after a day or so he came across Gareth who was giving his speech to the rebels of his clan to calm down, he listened to what he had to say from the side lines then hell broke loose when members of the village attacked them. Thorin then quickly tried to fight off the villagers, but that didn't work and was chased off (And Gareth died there). Then was at the area Topaz was hiding in and when he saw her, he tried showing her that he was far from scary. Gaining her trust sort of speak. When he asked to where her parents are she pointed to Gareth who was dead from being impaled by a lancer. This already got Thorin feeling terrible. Then Topaz said she doesn't know where her mother was so they went on a journey to find the Crimson kingdom. When finding the stair to it that were in a cave, he was halted by guards and would be killed if Topaz didn't explain. So the guards led Thorin to the castle and then he was taken in by Saleen and Lothaire. He explained most of his situation and afterwards he got his vampire bite cleaned up and was to stay since it some of that spellbound did effect him. After some time he gained both Saleen's and Lothaire's trust. As well as bonding with Topaz as if he were her father. Thus sparking a bit of romance between him and Saleen. After Damien was born they decided to get married. And a few years after Damien's birth they decided to have another child. Thus that child being Siri. After Siri he decided to go through the ritual to become a vampire since the people were freaking out that he wasn't a vampire among other reason. Since he's more recent to go through it and under spellbound he can't really transform into most forms and he tends to keep his wings tucked.

In the story Thorin saves Samster's hide quite a bit.
