The way im gonna explain her BG might be weird only cause it's part of another comic im working on, so please bare with)

In the beginning of the comic, Mego here is a human girl who's somewhat naive of the city her and her sister arrives at, they start off working for a ramen shop and delivering food. Later in the story her body began to make a sudden change and soon found herself looking extremely different with a different personality to top if off.

Where she acquired the crown comes way later in the story, however during the story, Mego is most of the time a human. unless she's in serious danger or if her mind can't handle with the extreme events around her.
