Powers:
Adrenaline Rush - This power is triggered in desperate situations or when she is scared. In this state, her performance is tripled and her defensive capabilities triple temporarily. This usually lasts up to 5 minutes.
Psychic - By using the power of her mind, she can lift and move unusually large objects (or creatures) and move them. She can also make herself appear to be flying with this power. However, extensive use of this power will tire her out over time.
Backstory/History: She grew up a normal life with her family. Nothing out of the normal at first. In time, she moved away from her family and started a life of her own. With time, however, she had grown rather lonely and attempted to obtain a significant other to fill her loneliness. However, she has some rather unusual interests that drives away those that she tries to take a liking to. She tends to keep said interests as secretive as possible for that reason. But she knew that if she were to live a happy life, she'd have to find a lover that would accept her as is without trying to change her too much. Doing so would be a rather large issue though.

It wasn't exactly a recolor. Although, it could technically be called that since I used a base for making an image for the character back on Deviantart. I would of made a drawing of the character myself if it wasn't for how badly I suck at drawing line art. And I would of had someone else draw the character if I had money to spend for such a thing. As for "original", as put by you, I say it is somewhat original. But at the same time, not so original due to being related to a franchise. And I know of the problem of different franchises such as Naruto, Bleach, Pokemon, that sort of stuff dominating the internet. I know how problematic it was because I used to hang out on a corner of the internet where the entire community was practically made up of fanboys and fangirls for such franchises (imparticularly, anything anime related). I'm kinda sick of that sort of stuff. Although, I did have a soft spot for Pokemon.
That all aside... If I could of thought of something more original (or better) than a purple Lucario, I probably would of went said way. As for your argument, I have a different side to offer. For FA, I didn't see how it wound up falling into the abyss of Pokemon characters. Although, I could see about the ponies with how far spread that franchise is. Heck, that's probably one of the fastest growing fandoms out there. And for Deviantart, I really can't say for sure despite that I've been over there for over a year. I personally haven't seen an issue with all the 'recolors' n' stuff. Personally, I see it in the sort of 'melting' pot for all non-porn artists. Meaning, that there will always be some sort of conflict between trolls, bronies, furries... everybody. And I don't see Furaffinity all that much better with how porn-oriented it is. Furaffinity, despite not being made to be a porn site, has a bad reputation for having a lot of porn on it and being too porn-oriented in my opinion. I really can't complain about it though because I'm not all that better with how I look at porn a lot despite not yet being 18 through sites such as e621. Although, I will turn 18 soon on December 6th.
With problems that people see about specific types of art, franchises, fandoms, websites, or anything else depends on the opinions of said people, I guess.

all art takes time and practice! talk to other artists, take some classes and always ALWAYS make time to practice! sorry if i came off on the wrong foot here.

It's fine. But as for my artistic skills, I can't even remotely draw something right. And I don't feel that I have the patience to learn how to draw correctly. But one day when I find the drive to, I might ask someone to teach me how to draw properly.

no offense and i mean this by saying this is good to know that this "original" character is not overpowered like many recolors i see. but.....i just don't see the need for another poke recolor. deviant art fell to the sonic recolors, Fa fell to the pony and poke fan characters, Id hate to see Weasyl see the same fate. try to come up with some thing more original than a Purple Lucario.
