Catte was created on a top secret government-owned space station as an experimental being to serve as an organ & limb donor in isolated situations. Her primary usefulness comes from her ability to regenerate almost any part of her body, as well as her blood changing to match the type of whatever blood it comes into contact with (to make grafting her parts onto the recipient's body easier).

Because she was made with this purpose in mind, she was created to have an inherently self-destructive nature. Now left to her own devices she struggles between considering self-mutilation to be a charitable and selfless act, while also acknowledging that she derives emotional pleasure from it.

Because all of the personnel aboard the station were killed before she could ask, she has no idea who specifically was responsible for her creation or what her ultimate objective was intended to be.

Due to being raised in an isolated station, residing on the surface of planets makes her feel uncomfortable. She now lives on the largest station in the sphere and runs a small import store that sells goods from a variety of different planets. She also keeps her ear to the ground for rumours, hoping that she'll someday find more answers about her own creation.
