And here we go with another of my SWTOR characters! This time it’s my main Republic character, a Jedi Knight by the name of Io’nalani!

Io’s given name is actually Ion, of the Alani clan. In true Twi’lek fashion, she adapted her name to include her clan as a part of it, though most individuals she’s close to simply call her Io. She tends to be headstrong, stubborn, sassy, flirtatious, optimistic, and loyal. She often rushes into problems head first without thinking however, which has gotten her into more than her fair share of trouble, as has her smart mouth. Thankfully for Io, she is extremely adept at the art of dual-wielding lightsabers, constantly using her flexibility and agility to her utmost advantage.

Io grew up as part of the colony of Twi’leks that fled to Tython and founded Kalikori Village. She exhibited Force sensitivity at a young age, but her family was reluctant to send her to train with the Jedi of the temple nearby due to their strained relations. However, after witnessing the actions of a few selfless Jedi against the Fleshraiders attacking her village, Io made the tough decision to sneak away to the Jedi temple alone and appeal to be trained. Her family has never agreed with her decision, and her relationship with them has suffered immensely as a result.

Due to her species, Io often finds herself taking on the role of dancer or slave when executing certain missions, particularly with her human male partner. She loathes this predisposition and has remarked time and again that next time, her role with her partner will be reversed. Unfortunately for her, Io is adept at playing her part convincingly. Her team’s mission success rate is a testimony to this. As they always say, just because you are good at something, doesn’t mean you necessarily enjoy it.
