This is Paranoia, your worst enemy. All those feelings of anxiousness, paranoid delusions, voices whispering in your ear at night, urging you to do something terrible? It's not just your mind playing tricks on you, it's this wraith.
Paranoia is the sum of all anxiety and paranoia made manifest. They are ageless, genderless, and without compassion. Rows upon rows of serrated teeth line a long, narrow maw that curls up into a cheshire's grin. Those glowing amber eyes see nothing and everything all at once. Claws as long and as sharp as knives curl out from ragged paws that are shackled to shadows. There is so little that is human, and yet so much of it relates to the worst of our nature. A male torso, lean and built, equipped with four powerful arms, slopes down into the body of a beast so unnatural that no one knows its true origin.
Hunting is a must, and they do this so well, that it is their only goal, their only reason for existence. They feed off the mentally ill. They are the one whispering to the insane that help is not necessary, that all is under control. They ramp up the fear, the anxiety, the paranoia, all to make the hunt more worthwhile, the meat more acrid. There is nothing this creature won't tell you to keep you separated from herd.
