Walt is one of my favorite characters from my Diesel trilogy; I'm still planning to only keep him in the first book, but we'll have to see.
Diesel is a dieselpunk trilogy set after my Inventor series, connected to the series by one character (Nate Wendell) and one object (Cooper's watch).
For those who don't know, dieselpunk is adding futuristic elements to the 1940s, specifically WWII. Like steampunk is Victorian or any surrounding era thereof, and cyberpunk is with the modern era, though I think it's particularly effective in the 90s.
Well, Walt's traits are above! They give you an idea of his character.
His role in the story is like a "crazy uncle" who serves as a mentor and a teacher to Arne, the main character of the trilogy. He teaches Arne how to fly so he can join the PFF (Phoenix Fighting Force), an elite air force, and do what he most wants to do.
