Shilo is the tamed chimera for the hermit bittie, Zippo. She was a healthy baby, having hatched and bullied her clutch mates for the first few weeks of her life. She eventually became so violent toward her other fledgelings that she was going to be released to the wild. Zippo was a great friend with the breeder, who handed her over to the loner bittie. She brought up Shilo with her unyielding optimism and empathy, the old raptor giving her a home where she had the space to grow into the world in the unusual peace of her home at the base of a massive bittie colony tree.

Shilo grew out of her vicious tendencies and warmed up to the elder to the point of being an entire opposite of her initial violence, loving her as her own mother and not just a keeper. She became very social later in life, when she was capable of speaking with her tamer, and loved to mingle with the colony and settlements all around when Zippo made treks to trade. She picked up on Zippo's creative and artistic impulses, and though her claws were too large to do much of the same work, she found her own means of channeling creativity.

When she met Clyde and Francis, a foreign pair of chimeras, she had been introduced into their lives just as Clyde hit his lowest. Their tamer leaving them both high and dry, she pleaded for the breeder who was responsible for her own life to give them a chance in their colony. The breeder agreed on behalf of Zippo, and introduced them to a capable bittie who often traveled and was in need of extra assistance in his caravan.

Since then Shilo has taken it upon herself to care for the two beaten brothers and be a beacon of warmth and positivity as the aging white bittie has been for her her entire life.
