Beth Ferrel is a superheroine that tends to act more like a rogue cop than superhero. She resides in her own world that is merely another alternate existence of Earth, bringing criminals to justice with her fists since her life decided to bar her from being a lawyer. Her super power allows her to project a red “clone” of herself from her body to move an incredible speeds up to a few feet, able to punch through steel. However, she can shrink this “afterimage” of herself, allowing it to move up to fifteen feet from her body.

Beth is a very… unique individual. She grew up as an average, lighthearted tomboy with an heavier sense of right and wrong. She always made sure to do the right thing, she never bullied anyone despite being a bit tougher than most boys in elementary school. She also had a knack for solving puzzles and doing so in an utterly sleuthy manner. Teachers even elected her to get to the bottom of things whenever there was drama or vandalism amongst the students. By the time she had gone onto middleschool, everyone in the Tri-City area knew of the ever-popular Beth.

She soon found herself receding from her peers in seventh grade however, her eyes narrowed in suspicion of everyone around her. Even more so after her first crush had led her on before finally stabbing her in the back with rumors of her being pregnant around eighth grade. Her skills of deduction never faded though, and she easily weeded out the fakers from those with honest intentions. It wasn’t until Freshman year of high school that Beth had begun looking for women as a possible option for her affections. She experimented and dabbled, making sure to keep a particularly close watch on those she trusted to stay loyal to her. But soon enough, the simplest slip-up drove Beth away from them.

Years later, she began majoring in law, hoping that maybe she could at least attempt to do right by helping catch the real criminals. Until one of her friends had asked her to help one day with an experiment for their chemistry class. Being the girl she was, Beth nobly accepted… only to be taken down an alley and knocked unconscious. When she awoke, all she could see from her surroundings were a series of machines and tubes, with the occasional visage of an elderly man from across the room. He had tried to speak to her, but she could never hear him past the sound of the machined doing whatever it was they were meant to do. For what felt like ages, she laid there, not able to utter a single word. One day, she found herself in her own bed, staring at the ceiling. She quickly jolted upwards, wondering silently what had happened. Her dark hair was stained blue with shades of orange dancing on the tips of her bangs, and her entire being felt more reflexive somehow.

For some time, she ignored these feelings and changes, not particularly caring what people thought of her hair. One night, walking home, she was suddenly assaulted. Most likely a rapist or mugger, but what they were didn’t matter. As Beth attempted to defend herself, an eerie red glow emanated from her. A silhouette sprouted from her struggling form, violently pushing the assaulter against the wall. Whatever happened to her with those machines… changed her. She scurried off and began to learn her new ability as quickly and best she could. And thus, the Super-heroine had been born.
