Eireen and Tumult were two characters I made for a Mass Effect RP. Unfortunately the group went south because the community was far too large and they couldn't keep track of their members' behavior BUT I was so pleased with how they turned out.

Eireen, the mother, is a war veteran (a mounted cannon troop) from when they had to defend Dekuuna from the Reapers as they left for the Citadel. Her son, Tumult, is an outspoken "energetic" child who has difficulty with keeping his unbridled emotions at bay, smiling, and overexerting himself with walking above a slow meandering pace. He's about as expressive and quick as a turtle and even then it's far too much to be acceptable by elcor standards. Eireen has built her own multicultural cafe in the Citadel where war-torn veterans and C-Sec officers tend to frequent... meanwhile Tumult goes out of his way (when off his leash) to try and find Spectres and get lost in various dangerous places.
