;Bio;

The Nue family has almost always been exclusively in the 12th ward. They run a family owned crematorium that has been in their name since the 1800's. The business was created to allow them to live peacefully with humans for the most part, since they rarely hunt and keep up a human life. Hikaru grew up as an only child until her younger brother came along when she was about 12 and because of the large age gap they don't have a strong bond.

She was raised as a ghoul, but she was taught all the proper ways to exist and live in a human world without notice. She was a reasonable child, with average grades and an aptitude for reading and writing. Hikaru began to get more stubborn and rowdy with age but not the extent of others. Because of the way they lived, she never had the chance to really meet other ghouls who weren't related to her, and often fantasized about meeting more. Her curiosity and interest lead her to the older stories of Aogiri tree, she soon became fascinated with the idea of large groups of ghouls not related by blood but still working together. Her interests took her to try to find perhaps an older member, and she tried to enter the 11th ward. She was promptly scared off after discovering a few ghoul limbs and the strong stench of death that still lingers there. Even then her interest didn't diminish. She still finds them fascinating though she now wonders more about Anteiku as they seem... friendlier. She walks past it almost everyday to work, and has only been in there a few times. She's wary of the ghouls who frequent there though.

A few months back she decided to leave the 12th ward, get herself a flat and try to make her own life as a ghoul. She now hunts humans, lives alone in the 15th ward and is eager to meet other ghouls. While she does love her family, she doesn't want to be tied to them or that mind set anymore. She doesn't mention her last name and will often make one up if pressured. She isn't very strong so for now her plan is to hide behind stronger ghouls until she can safely get stronger.

Hikaru is a very lively, free spirited person. She loaths responsibility and thinks of herself as a 'rebel'. Well she tries, the most delinquent thing she's done so far is bleach her hair and get a piercing. She's often very energetic and bouncy by herself, but when she encounters people she tends to be more mundane and a bit snarky. She isn't incredibly personable but she isn't straight up rude either. She prefers to be in groups, she doesn't get nervous when there's many people but in the presence of one or two she can get a bit anxious. She depends heavily on her senses and gut feelings as she isn't a shining star in academics. She has been known to lash out and have episodes when she doesn't get what she wants, she's very selfish and can behave like a child. Self conservation being one of her driving forces, wanting to live as long as she can unharmed. She doesn't like having fears, so she likes to face them if she can. She can be tough and ferocious when needed but most often she's fairly tame.
