Named firefly from his mother after her death from his stepfather, Hotaru was bounced back and fourth from his Aunt and Grandparents, then eventually the streets. Until his friend, Kega had taken him into his home. He currently still lives with Kega as a high school drop out, working full time at Fawn Cafe. He becomes an Exorcist, after meeting up with a strange like "Navi" creature after a horrible day, loosing his job, almost losing his girlfriend, having a physical fight with his uncle he just loses it and wants alone time so he goes to a old church in the woods his mother use to take him to talk to the Spirit gods that would watch over them, The place being a wreck and taken by nature he just finds peace in there until he hears the yells of someone calling for help. He finds a blue like orb that is running around the church and spots him and begs him for his help, He finds out that some Demon is chasing this orb and tries to hide him and get out of the place. But the Demon has it locked inside out. So the "Navi" creature makes a pack saying he'll turn him into a Exorcist if he can save both their butts. He does, he kills the Demon and done.
