Phewww~ ;v; I FINALLY finished one of my personal projects! It started back when I got my MYO Eeray, Safu - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15535098/ (totes hoping to get more Eerays someday ;v;). I've been wanting to create a universe around her and develop it ever since. I've since gotten 4 MYO Dreamies, and I wanted the same thing for them too... So, what I have done is made one universe for them all! That was one thing that spawned this guy; well, that and the idea of an angler based anthro sounded amazing. The story goes like this~

There are many undersea nations in this world; the most powerful is the Eeray nation with the Siren nation being a close second. The Eeray nation is the longest lived nation under the sea and is a very stable, profitable place. The Siren nation is one that is only a couple thousand years old in comparison, though it has grown faster than any other nation has.

The Siren nation isn't just made up of angler-like people - it's made up every kind of ocean species that you can imagine. What defines a Siren is the magic ability to sing an irresistible song. This song can vary in volume, pitch, etc., but the result is the same. The Siren's song charms and manipulates others to varying degrees. Their nation is made up of individuals that are born with this gift/curse. Some call it a curse because those born with it are exiled from their respective towns and nations out of fear... People would be terrified that they'd be manipulated by this ability and wouldn't be aware of it. Eventually, the people who were exiled started their own little village. It was far, far away from the other nations, down deep in the more dangerous parts of the ocean. Over time, the village thrived and grew as more exiles would come there to live in peace. After many years, it became a bold and strong nation that could stand and protect its own from oppression.

Upon reaching their powerful status as a nation, the Sirens entered into a war with some of the land dwelling nations. The land nations are made up of varying kinds of people - anthros, humans, elves, Dreamies (yes, my MYO Dreamies will get squeezed into this universe too! ovob), and more. The land dwelling nations had started to enter a steampunk-like era of technology. The production of large sea vessels started, and a lot of sea travel with it. The land dwelling people didn't think much of the ocean and didn't know that entire races of people lived within its waters. Garbage, waste, junk - it was all tossed into the ocean as they traveled across its surface. Obviously this caused a problem for all sea nations. The Sirens took it as an act of war. Poison was being dropped on their land, so they did what they felt was necessary to protect it. At first they would simply sent ships off course, but after a while they started to outright sink them using their songs. Eventually, the land nations discovered what was going on, and all out war was to break out... That is, until the Eeray nation and the queen of the Sirens decided to meet with the land dwellers for a peace talk. They managed to settle things, and both sides made amends for the bloodshed that occurred. The queen of the Sirens at that time (Aurius' mother) was the key speaker in the peace talks as well. For years she had tried to ease the tension between the Siren and Eeray nations; with time, she made great progress. After successfully ending the unexpected war with the land dwellers, many believed that she may be able to bring peace to the oceans as well. However, tradegy struck; soon after these events, she lost her life in a mysterious accident while on the way home from a summit of land and sea nations. The peace talks were unfortunately lost along with her.

Fast forward to the present day. The current king of the Sirens is wanting war with the Eeray nation over what he feels has been years of injustice, and for the murder of his wife. His son, Aurius, doesn't agree with his father on the subject. Aurius firmly believes his mother wasn't murdered by the Eeray nation, but by a third party somewhere. The king refuses to hear his son and believes that he's simply blind to the truth of the matter, as Aurius was only a very young boy when his mother was lost. Due to the fighting with his father, Aurius tends to blow off his royal duties and responsibilities. He believes that you don't need tons of royal etiquette and high profile meetings to be a ruler for the people, instead determined that he'll lead them how he wants to when his time comes to sit upon the throne. Instead of being locked up in a castle learning all of these meaningless things, he prefers to explore both land and sea. Aurius prefers taking in the pleasures of life rather than worrying about politics and the stress that comes with it. He can come off a bit overly confident/cocky sometimes due to his upbringing, but deep down he tends to always want to make peace. Some people believe that the young prince's powers may also be the key to finally obtaining peace between all nations. That is, if he'd stop using them for things like escaping from the castle and his teachers, making himself irresistible to women, and generally goofing off to impress his friends...

TLDR - Undersea nations. War and peace. Prince doesn't get along with his father. Prince loves women. Prince goofs off with his Siren powers instead of using them for things that are actually useful/helpful in some way.

Phew, okay, so I dropped a book on everyone there! Sorry~ >A>; Apparently I've wanted to type it out for AGES rofl... Also, even though I have Eerays and Dreamies in this universe, I am of course in no way claiming either species as my own. The Eerays and Dreamies that will be in this universe may not match up 100% to the actual canon for their species, but they'll still be darn close.
