Dusk is a kitashi. The kitashi are a mysterious and shadowy race of northern leonines with longer fur and lithe but strong forms. As a race the kitashi are rarely seen and they are quite often feared as they tend to find employ as assassins or other shadowy sorts. They have racial abilities that seem supernatural and often have connections to the dead. It's thought that they simply walk closer to the vale than most and some may even be able to cross over and back at will, though this is not confirmed.

Dusk himself is not exception. He is sensitive and able to see and detect the supernatural. He seems to vanish in plain sight, or more, people see him and forget immediately that they have done so, unless they are intentionally looking for him, know him, or he has initiated contact. He has other subtle sorts of abilities and he also has a measure of training in the use of these arts and in martial craft. the latter of which makes him highly agile with a martial style that is designed with no wasted movement. Dusk fights to end things quickly and efficiently. Katana or similar bladed weapons of eastern design are a specialty of his.

On a personal note, Dusk is of a sad, haunted countenance and often buries said emotions; either beneath a blanket of soft spoken, quick witted sarcasm, or behind a wall of professionalism. Where this pain comes from exactly isn't known but it's thought that Dusk had a better life once, and there are times he has spoken of a lost friend, possibly a love. He seems as though finding this friend's whereabouts is a priority for him but it's a long search and thus, life has gone on and he does other things in the interim times.

Mysterious and dark, Dusk is not devoid of light. there are things he very much enjoys. Simple things often; red wine, the sound of the piano. He loves fish and sushi almost in a comical manner, and he loves black, strong coffee. He enjoys watching the world go by, seeing people go about normal lives and being somewhat removed from that himself, though this can make him melancholy as well.

Perhaps in the future more of his story will be revealed, but for now, I think I'll leave you guys with a little bit of mystery as that seems to suit him quite well.
