There's not much history to this one yet. She's fairly young creation-wise, and I'm still fairly new to MLP as far as actually getting into the story and characters.

So she's an artist (very much a ponysona here), and she stayed in Cloudsdale up until her adulthood since she was never too fond of flying. She had vertigo from a young age, so she was too afraid to take to the skies as much as her friends encouraged her. Finally one day she got sick and tired of being scared, and she forced herself to fly. Several moments of nearly plummeting to the ground, mostly due to her large frame as a pegasus in general, she made her way to Ponyville as she couldn't find it in herself to make the attempt to return to Cloudsdale.

Varnish is very relaxed and rarely comes to a point of arrogance or anger. She's very particular to her art and is a perfectionist, though with other activities she could seem careless or lazy.

She'll need some more development definitely.
