Backstory

Ever since he was an Eevee, he wanted to be a Jolteon. He idolised them, spending his time with any Jolteon or electric Pokémon he could find.
One day, he found a piece of a broken Thunderstone, a symbol of what he dreamed to become and with the help of his friends, fashioned it into a necklace which he wore with pride.
He saw it as a sign, declaring that his name to be "Jolt" from then on, and vowing to go forth and find a Thunderstone.

Many months had passed, and across many places had he travelled, but Jolt still hadn't found a Thunderstone.
He never lost his faith in finding one, though. His friends picked him up when he was down, gave him a helping paw when he needed it, and always kept his spirits high.
And then, one night, the most unexpected and unexplainable thing happened.

He evolved.

Finding the nearest body of water and looking into it, he was shocked to see the reflection of an Umbreon staring back at him.
Jolt noticed that the piece of Thunderstone he held so dear wasn't around his neck, and he began frantically searching for it, but found nothing.
Looking back into the pool of the water, he noticed something unusual that he hadn't before.
Jolt had seen many other Umbreons in his lifetime, all with the same circular markings in their fur. But he didn't share that trait, instead noticing his markings resembled lightning bolts, and that his fur was slightly spikier, almost like...
Like a Jolteon! He reached a paw up to his neck, finding the string that once held his beloved Thunderstone shard, and it all started to make sense to him.
The piece of Thunderstone that he held so precious wasn't gone. It was a part of him.

He lifted his head, smiling and shouting out an exuberant "Bre~!"
Jolt knew it didn't matter what he had evolved into.
He still had his friends, he still had his dreams, and he still had the rest of his life ahead of him.
It didn't matter what he looked like on the outside because he was still himself.

He was Jolt, and he couldn't have been happier.

Personality

Jolt is generally pretty cheerful and friendly, and he loves making new friends.
He has a ridiculous amount of energy, easily seen from his the regular involuntary twitches in his ears and tail.
He generally jumps and bounces around instead of walking, an extension of both his energy and his playfulness.
He has a very curious by nature, sometimes sticking his nose where it might not belong. (Physically or otherwise~)
Jolt is especially curious about humans, having very little fear when it comes to approaching them, or being approached by them. He would probably let himself be captured if he thought somebody was worthy enough of doing so.

So I decided to re-draw the lines using a different brush, and give shading a practice.
Not quite sure if I've got the hang of it yet
