Hailing from Alfrheim and sporting a notoriously clumsy disposition, Balder D'ashe is a childhood friend of Sellah Fi'ehl and can safely make the claim of being Alfrheim's worst hunter of all time. Buck-toothed, child-faced and ambitious, Balder likes to think he gets along with most people, although many of the Ljosalfar are afraid that his clumsiness might rub off on them if they hang around him too long. This leads young Balder to frequently seek out alternate forms of socialization, and he is commonly found taking care of the animals of the Alfrheim. Wanting to leave his hunter background behind, Balder aspires to one day be able to tap into the Eitr like his fellow Ljosalfar and settle down as a druid instead.

Life in the Alfrheim has generally been kind to Balder. While clumsy and plagued by bad luck, he is normally considered to be a good and gentle boy with a big heart way too unfit for a true hunter. Raised together with Sellah, he would often look up to her as a prominent role model and would eventually be inspired by her to explore the world of the Eitr in order to benefit the already powerful forests of the Alfrheim region.
