Personality:

Her primary mode of living is focused internally, where she deals with things rationally and logically. Her secondary mode is external, where she takes things in via her five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Hurit has a compelling drive to understand the way things work and is good at logical analysis, and likes to use it on practical concerns. She typically has strong powers of reasoning, although she's not particularly interested in theories or concepts unless she can see a practical application. She is an individual who likes to take things apart and see the way they work.

Hurit is fiercely independent, and on occasion she needs to have the space to make their own decisions about her next step. She also has strongly-felt internal sense of duty, which lends her a serious air and the motivation to follow through on tasks. Organized and methodical in her approach, she can generally succeed at any task which she undertakes.

Hurit is very loyal, faithful, and dependable. She places great importance on honesty and integrity. She can be depended on to do the right thing for her family and communities. While she can and often takes things very seriously, she also, when the time arises, has an offbeat sense of humor and can be a lot of fun - especially with her family. She believes in laws and traditions, and expects the same from others. She's not too comfortable with breaking laws or going against the rules. If she is able to see a good reason for stepping outside of the established mode of doing things, then Hurit will support that effort. However, she more often then not tends to believe that things should be done according to procedures and plans.

Rarely does Hurit speak for she believes that if one does not have anything truly important to say, then silence is the best course of action lest a question arises. She's not really one for idle chit-chat. However, when she does speak, people take the initiative to listen because what she has to say is not only important but well thought out. When she speaks she is both eloquent and soft spoken seeing no reason to raise her voice even if angered. Raising ones voice does little to help the conversation along and usually the one who is getting the loudest ends up saying something moronic and comes out looking like the fool. Such behavior often makes her appear withdrawn...shy even.

When she walks, she does so in silence for she does not like drawing attention to herself. She prefers to go unnoticed unless her presence as a strong supporter of her husband is required. She prefers to allow Daramounen to have all the glory for she is simply his supportive wife. Any movement made by her is elegant and gentle as if she were afraid to break whatever it was she might touch or look at. When she enters a room or walks to any destination before her, she stands tall with her shoulders back and her head held high. She is and will be recognized as an alpha, second only to her husband. While Hurit is and can be very territorial, her unnatural patience allows her to keep her temper in check.

As the Beast

Hurit, in her true state, is a purely anthropophagous beast, hungering for human flesh. She will go to any lengths to procure this food, no matter the risk or possibility of injury. Like all Wendigo, and those with the Wendigo blood coursing through their veins, she craves human flesh and is constantly starving for it (indicated by the beast’s lean, wiry frame). The Wendigo is known to have its preferences: the sweet fat of children, the soft skin of women, the course muscles of men (especially warriors and hunters), or the brittle bones of the elderly. In preparation for long winters (when few travelers are out and about), the Hurit will stash away large pots filled to the rim with human remains in a disclosed location (despite her not needing to. Such actions are an instinctual habit that can not be broken). On rare occasions, she will take humans alive and hide them away in one of her many undisclosed lairs, allowing her to feed whenever she wants. Hurit is more intelligent than many humans, and thus understands the value of storing and saving its food. However, she will only resort to this when food is scarce and she becomes desperate.

Since the Hurit constantly hungers for human flesh, she and other Wendigo wreaks destruction in its pursuit of its chosen prey. She crashes through the forests, all the while uprooting trees, causing game animals to stampede, and causing whirlwinds. The monster that she and her kin are is often thought to be the cause of ice storms, tornadoes, and violent winds. All of these weather-related phenomena are believed to signal the Wendigo’s presence.

When the Hurit hunts, she stalks the victim for long periods. The chosen victim only has a dreadful feeling of being followed. However, like all Wendigo, Hurit has a sadistic streak. She prefers to terrify her victims before moving in for the kill. When she has had enough of stalking the victim, she lets out a growl or a shriek, which resonates through the forest and often terrifies her prey. They panic, firing weapons haphazardly into the brush as the dense forest closes in on them. Eventually, the intended victim succumbs to insanity, running wildly into the forest with abandon. In such a state, they are easy prey for the her.

Hurit has been known to enter cabins and other dwellings, unlocking them from the outside and slaughtering the inhabitants, then proceeding to convert the cabin into her own lair. Like her kin, Hurit tends to hibernate for long periods, ranging in length from a few months to years at a time (such hibernation for Hurit makes her hunger for flesh dim and she becomes rather docile and in this hibernative state she takes on a more human form). Once she awakens however, she will go into a feeding frenzy, and after having eaten enough humans, she retreats to her lair and falls back into hibernation once again.

Physical Appearance:

Skin of a reddish brown complexion stretch across her athletic yet curvy frame which stands at the height of five feet and five inches. A river of ink spills down from her scalp framing almond shaped eyes that are a soul peircing golden - yellow and high cheekbones only to stop at her ankles. Tied in her hair, one will always find a small collection of feathers strung together by a small string of leather and decorated with intricate beads. Decorating her skin are small specs of scarring inflicted on her during her upbringing. There intricacy represents her status in the hierarchy of her clan. While she has no need to wear clothing to keep out the cold, she is almost always found in a long flowing gown accented with intricate stitch work and beading. Around her neck, looped in her earlobes and dangling from her wrists and ankles intricate necklaces, earrings, bangles and cuffs can be found.

True Form

Like most Wendigo, Hurit is tall, has long limbs, and has extremely thin skeletal structure. Cascading from her head and covering her loins is snow-white fur. Her maw is filled with sharp yet slightly yellowed fangs, and her hands and feet end in razor like talons. Hidden behind her twisted lips is an abnormally long tongues that is a disgusting dark blue. Her eyes are one of her most frightening aspects, which range in color from glowing red to bright yellow. Her eyes are protuberant like an owls yet because of her deep sockets, it gives it some sort of normal appearance.

She has four arms. The first two are proportionate to her large size while the other two are a bit smaller and a bit more human in appearance.

Abilities: Supernatural Strength, Speed, Endurance, and Senses

Hurit is able to rip a human apart with little effort, and like the rest of her kin, she moves so quickly that it cannot be seen by the human eye. Any wounds that are inflicted on the her body heal very quickly, although wounds caused by silver tend to heal very slowly. She is invulnerable to most conventional weapons, excluding arms incorporating pure silver. Naturally she thrives in even the harshest climates, immune to extremes of cold.

Her senses of sight, smell, and hearing are greatly enhanced, comparable to those of many predatory animals. Hurit can see clearly in total darkness, due to infrared vision, enabling her to see her prey by detecting its bodily heat emanations. Once she has her prey’s scent, she is able to follow it swiftly and precisely, no matter how far away the victim may be. Her hearing is so keen that she can hear the pounding of her fear-filled victim’s heart, which causes her own heart to pound with joy and anticipation.

Stealth

Hurit excels in stealth, and it is said that like the Wendigo, she moves on the wind and breezes in utter silence. She can fill the air with an eerie, haunting siren by forcing the air through her lips.

Lyre Symphony

Hurit is able to mimic a plethora of voices, which are most often cries for help. When the freezing winds rise, her howls can't be distinguished from the moan of the wind, keeping people nearby from knowing that a monster lurks in their midst until it is too late.

Wendigo Fever

It is a terrible curse, overtaking the mind and body of the unfortunate victim. The first symptom of the curse is a strange scent, detectable only to the intended victim. After absorbing this disturbing odor, the victim experiences a long night of weeping and horrifying nightmares. Upon awakening, the victim experiences a burning pain in the legs and feet, which becomes so intense that the victim runs into the forest, shrieking like a maniac, and discarding clothing and shoes all the while. Most of the curse’s victims never return, although those who do return are irrevocably insane from their experiences of the curse and the Wendigo itself.

Nature Shaman

As Hurit grows older, her powers over nature increase exponentially and she's become extremely adept in the dark arts. With this power, she can manipulate the weather, creating storms of terrifying strength, and can summon the midnight darkness hours before sunset. Hurit may summon dangerous beasts from the deepest, darkest reaches of the forest and command them to attack her enemies, traverse enormous distances in the blink of an eye, and heal any wounds instantaneously (although injuries inflicted by silver may take longer to heal). Hurit is mystically attuned to every single tree, bush, rock, hill, or cave within her territory (which can be considerably vast). She uses this advantage to stalk her victims for hours on end, never being seen or heard unless she chooses to reveal herself by means of a growl or a shriek.

Natural Weapons: Claws and Teeth

Besides sheer strength and animalistic ferocity, Hurit is armed with formidable array of weaponry: her dreaded claws and fangs. Her claws resemble icicles, reflecting her utter dominion over her freezing territory. These talons are designed for ripping through flesh with the slightest touch, and one swipe from the powerful claws can disembowel or decapitate a human. Hurit's mouth is filled with long, needle-sharp fangs, made for slicing through flesh and sinew, as well as for breaking bones. Her fangs can easily puncture a human skull. Far from being a stupid beast, Hurits intelligence and cunning surpasses that of a human, as well as the predatory instincts of an animal.

Weakness: Silver

Despite Hurit's immeasurable amount of power, there are ways to protect oneself from her. If one is hunting her, a fire must be kept burning at all times. This will deter her from attacking, but only for so long. If burned, the wounds will quickly heal and will only make the her angry.

Any means of mystical protection should be employed (amulets, protective spells, and charms), as these things hold power over the Wendigo. Earplugs must be used to block out the her maddening shrieks. However, one’s surest defense and greatest chance of survival during the Wendigo’s attack is a firearm loaded with silver bullets, and a silvered blade (such as a sword or a knife).

Hurit and the Wendigo cannot be hurt or killed by conventional methods or weapons, including blades or firearms. However, silver is lethal to the Wendigo. Silver bullets or a pure silver blade (or silvered steel) can cause the Wendigo great pain and can even kill the beast.

In order to permanently destroy the Wendigo, one must first find the beast. After finding and incapacitating the beast (no easy task, be assured), a silver stake must be driven through the Wendigo’s heart of ice, therefore shattering it. The shards of the Wendigo’s heart must be securely locked in a silver box and buried in consecrated ground (such as a churchyard or a cemetery).

The Wendigo’s body must then be dismembered with a silver-plated axe, and each piece of the body must be salted and burned to ashes (which must then be scattered to the four winds), or each piece must be hidden in some remote, inaccessible location (i.e. the bottom of a lake, a chasm, the sea floor, or a well). Failure to follow these procedures exactly will inevitably result in the Wendigo’s resurrection, followed by its bloody vengeance. It will hunt down its killer, relishing and anticipating the taste of the hunter’s blood in every single moment. Rest assured, the death that follows will be both slow and painful. The Wendigo will take great pleasure in every single bit of agony it inflicts on its killer before finishing the job and devouring the remains.
