Ama is a very angry woman who has no patience for any specific hobbies, but enjoys a laid back life with her friends. At 26 she hasn't accomplished a lot by most people's standards, but as far as she's concerned surviving as long as she has is enough. She currently shares an apartment with her friend Arcelia(bio pending), though clashing personalities constantly have them butting heads.

Ama hasn't had the easiest life. As a kid her Dad vanished before she could develop any memories of him, and her mother was distant and neglectful. When she had the chance she would escape to Caroline's(bio pending) house, where she'd actually be acknowledged even if she constantly had to deal with Zoe and her husband Emmet's(bios pending) condescending attitudes. Growing up poor and the only child of a careless parent forced her to learn how to take her of herself much earlier than most kids her age. She dropped out of school and moved out of her Mother's apartment the same month she turned 16.

At 17, Ama was badly injured in a car wreck with Caroline and Emmet. Ama survived, but had lost both legs and suffered extensive burns on most of her body. She and her mother were estranged at that point, so with no support and no money she was forced to agree to several experimental procedures, giving her her metallic legs and eyes and rebuilding her face. While the basic procedures were covered, she was on her own to pay for the never ending followup treatments. Nearly 10 years later Ama is still constantly working whatever job she can get to barely catch up to whatever new debts she is forced to build up.

FUN FACTS:

Ama's metal death legs use up a lot of energy. She needs to consume about 80,000 calories a day just to have the stamina for day to day exercise. Part of the reason she doesn't pursue any sports or activities she enjoys is simply because she can't afford all the extra food she'd need to eat.

As well as all the other treatments, Ama needed part of her brain rebuilt after damage from the crash. This was a very new and delicate procedure, and while it worked wonderfully she has had to live with some awful side effects. Mainly a severe emotional disorder that constantly has her on the verge of extreme anger or depression. She seems to swing from happy and patient to a furious, screaming mess at little to no provocation. She is in therapy actively working on handling these extreme emotions, and while she's made some good progress she has a way to go.

Ama has not spoken to her mother except to call and let her know she was alive after the accident. She doesn't really know any other family except grandparents she saw a few times as a kid and hasn't spoken to them in nearly 20 years. She really doesn't know how any of them are doing or how she'd even contact them again. Not that she cares to.

Ama is kind of terrified of herself on a subconscious level and is perpetually going through personal crises because of it. She treats the few friendships she hasn't ruined like solid gold and loathes herself for being unable to control the constant baseless anger she takes out on them. On a less subconscious level though she thinks her cyborg legs are "pretty bitchin" and wouldn't trade them for anything.
