Biography

Jhator comes from a close-knit extended family. He had a happy chick-hood and spent his fledgling years doing all the stupid things a fledgling should do, like mixing up ceremonial tools, putting Sun God masks on all the Moon God statues, etc.

When Jhator was a young adult he resolved a conflict between two feuding families. This led to Jhator being hailed as a Seer of Truth and his designated career. Jhator only hailed himself as being able to use logic and the ability to understand the conflict from both sides.

While often amusing himself with his professional duties, he also responded with depression when he contemplated the meaning of his job. This began only a few years after Jhator was discovered as a Seer of Truth.

After a severe beating by a Skrekrill gang during one of his suicidal flights, it was Ganesh who helped him. Ever since that incident they've shared a bond that is still not understood by Jhator's family, which saw Ganesh as a polar opposite of Jhator's personality. Regardless, Jhator's family treated Ganesh with warmth and kindness and offered him eternal sanctuary in their quaint home.

Personality

Jhator is often described as on another planet with his head in the clouds. Regarded as unaware of his immediate surroundings, Jhator is surprisingly perceptive. Thought to be a Seer of Truth by other Twistoult, Jhator is often sought out as a solver of conflicts. His mother often claims their family's clear eyes are responsible for Jhator's gift and prides herself at his status in the community. Jhator, on the other hand, doesn't understand why hes recognized as a mystic when he feels his observations are obvious conclusions that any gryphon should be capable of. Because of this, Jhator approaches his job as an endeavor of satire.

Lucky for him, another gryphon also got the joke; a Grandesque named Ganesh. Jhator enjoys spending time with Ganesh, solving the worlds problems. Ganesh calls him an airhead, and he responds calling Ganesh a grump. When they arent giving each other a hard time, they spend time flying around, looking for dead things. In fact, Jhator probably enjoys flying as much as horking down carrion.

With an unusual feature of tail-feathers, Jhator is a very swift, deliberate flyer and spends a substantial amount of time simply surfing thermals and observing the world below. When having particularly depressive spells, Jhator becomes reckless and flies straight into Skrekrill territory testing his speed against angry pursuers. These audacious ventures have led to many close calls and one serious beating.

Despite his internal cynicism, Jhator is probably one of the kindest gryphons you'll ever meet. Few of the gryphons in his life know of his depressive bouts (probably only Ganesh has really seen the full extent of them). He loves his family, despite their faults, and enjoys the ceremonies of his Aerie, usually trying to get a disgruntled Ganesh to participate for fun.
