Kenoa appears to be a shire horse/spotted hyena hybrid. His species nickname is "Horseyena" he is a descendant of Pleistocene era Red Hyenas.

His markings consist of a reddish-orange coat with medium length dense fur. his characteristic markings are large and small spots.
