Volcanoran MacAingeal, formerly under the name of Volcan Skilerain, is the youngest generation of one of the oldest Scottish Clans in the world, dating back to the B.C period. Born in the city of Unity Falls, a border-placed city between Alberta and Montana, U.S.A, he makes his living as a career musician, but he is also the founder and leader of the Os-Nadarra Sentinels, a team of special individuals that protect Canada from various threats; though not what most would call a 'Superhero', since his identity and actions are known publically, he's a in many ways like one.

As abilities go, Volcan has the genetic traits of an avian, namely having telescopic vision, but his Fire Phoenix heritage has granted him infrared vision as well, followed by low-level superhumanoid strength -capable of bench-pressing 2,000 pounds and leg-pressing 3,400. He has mastered his pyrokinetic powers, is completely immune to all forms and any level of heat -actually growing stronger in low-humidity high-temp areas such as inside of volcanoes, he can draw power from the sun -although this is dangerous to do as he can become addicted to the UV energy if he uses it too much- and has mastered multiple forms of combat, including the brutally effective Celtic Swordfighting, Canadian Army issue CQC, Scottish Backhold Wrestling and has even mastered independent techniques such as the Aikido Reversal and German Suplex, making him primarily a grappler when fighting unarmed, and a powerhouse under any conditions.

When Volcan was born, he was corrupted by the essence of a demonic entity long thought destroyed, and as a result was hatched from his egg with a second personality, one that only surfaced when he was angered, terrified, or if his life was in danger. This other presence, dubbed 'Black Volcan', was a malicious mass-murderer, and killed more than two-hundred people when it seized control -knowledge Volcan lives with to this very day.

His life otherwise was fairly simple and average, growing up as most kids did. He graduated from High School at the age of 17, six months before most other students, and embarked on his way to become a musician, forming a small-time band alongside his friends Pavan Stevenson and Brent Tetherson. Life went on as usual for all three of them, and it seemed they were on their way to successful careers. For a time it seemed like Volcan's episodes as Black Volcan were even ended.

Arc 1: Origins (Under development)

Until the Gang Wars of Unity Falls began; large syndicates and small-time street gangs alike clashed in the city, 100 days of war between untrained, uncaring and undisciplined individuals, with the cops caught in the crossfire as they tried to prevent the city war from escalating. Volcan tried to stay out of the conflicts, but when his mother's diner was hit by one of the gangs in a crossfire, injuring several of her employees and causing incredible property damage, Volcan stepped into the fray, attacking the responsible gang with his fire powers that he'd only practiced with but never been formally trained in the use of beyond a few teachings by his mother. Despite this, the gang was frightened off, and the neighborhood fell under his watch.

Realizing he could make a difference -perhaps influenced by his guilt from his 'Black Volcan' episodes, Volcan took it upon himself to mess with the 'operations' of the gangs and syndicates wherever he could. At first he was considered nothing more than a vigilante, although some used the term loosely as he jumped in defend others or for his own protection, staying within the boundaries of the law as much as he could. Though this still put him on the radar of the police, most officers ignored him, knowing they needed to prioritize on the massive groups that were turning the city into a warzone. Others flocked to him, and soon he was forming his own team, members included his friend Pavan, his brother Lighris, and some new friends he made along the way, with him as their un-elected leader, chosen by them because of his ability to inspire courage and strength. His crowning achievements in the gang war were the defeat of the gang bosses Blair Harrison of the Chained Rims, a street-racing crew with the fastest cars in the city, who was notorious for being a high-ranking boxer with a near-perfect combat record in the ring and on the streets, and also the gang boss Warwick Torison, who was once a soldier of the Canadian Army before he became the leader of mercenary thugs that secretly worked for the Agostina Syndicate. Volcan's fight with Warwick was especially force, resulting in the death of both of them, but when his body was burned at a local crematory, Volcan somehow sprang back to life, the fires of the furnace resurrecting him and restoring his elemental life-force. With this second life, he returned to his friends, who -after some much-needed explanations from him, informed Volcan that Warwick's death had brought about the end of Warwick's Gang.

With their downfall, the end of the war came swiftly, as those who were in the gangs became too afraid of Volcan to continue fighting. Inevitably this earned him a pardon from the city, and the war ended not long before that.

This not only made him famous nation-wide, it allowed his career as a musician to sky-rocket; following the conclusion of the war, Volcan and his band were receiving a contract for their first album, 'Eyes of Fire'.

Arc 2: Threat of the I.T.O.U.E

Despite being brought to a conclusion, Volcan continued to protect the city, and became especially wary of a string of disappearances in the city limits. Nearly becoming a victim of this himself on his 18th birthday when several members of a group known as the I.T.O.U.E, a large organization of Science-Terrorists, attempted to murder/kidnap him, as they believed him a threat to their plans. With help from his friend Rikyuu, he survived the encounter, and managed to capture several of their members for the UFPD, although those members were later retrieved by a second team, attacking the Division One Precinct and freeing their men. For some time after this, Volcan was put under the protective custody of Obsidian Kimoyama.

For a while it was limited to various clashes, but when the I.T.O.U.E made a final push on Volcan, with the help of Vinge Glaseros, Volcan staged a trap for them, and with some additional help from an I.T.O.U.E turncoat named Kyle Darwinson, they captured all of the I.T.O.U.E soldiers and destroyed their cybernetic warriors, known only as I.T.O.U.E Cyborgs. This flushed their leader, Jacob Rex, out of hiding, bringing forth his superweapon 'Project: Aerial Savior', more commonly referred to as the Cyber Wyvern. With the help of his friends, Volcan and the others destroyed it, saving Unity Falls and any meta-humanoid citizens that were on Rex's radar.

Arc 3: The Overlords (Under development)

Mere months after the defeat of Jacob Rex however, Volcan's life would take another tragic turn as he would soon find his dark half attempting to break free -a change brought about by a temporary fusion between the two during the battle with the Cyber Wyvern, causing 'Black Volcan' to evolve, becoming sentient and attempting to take hold of Volcan. But then came and intervention by the Egyptian Demigod, Izrail, and the Celestial Nogitsune Yaiba Akatsuki, who attempted to exorcise Black Volcan, only to somehow free it from Volcan, leaving the poor phoenix with a permanent deformation on his lower back; a bald area with twisted and deformed skin from the corruption of the entity, often hidden by his shirt and usually mistake for an accident caused by power tools, even though he doesn't work with tools.

More calamity followed this, as Black Volcan, taking for himself the name of Calhoun Demonfire, hired the mad assassin of Japan, Yaiba Kumori -the younger sibling of Yaiba Akatsuki- to eliminate Volcan while in his weakened state. Volcan was protected by Vinge and Tsume Mondiale, who eventually managed to defeat Kumori. The assassin then, under the promise of having all the kills he could desire, joined forces with Calhoun indefinitely. Volcan remained bedridden for several more months, sometimes completely comatose as the recovery time required for his separation from Calhoun was long and slow. During this time he remained under the care of his mother, Degra.

Volcan was finally back on his feet by the 8th month of 2011. But mere weeks later, he was confronted by the UFPD, including Obsidian Kimoyama, arresting him on charges of illegal border-crossing and murder based on witness testimony, claiming he had killed some rail yard words on the American half of the city. Fortunately, despite the evidence collected and the testimonies, Volcan had an alibi; he had been with Pavan, Brent and Vinge the night of the murders, and was promptly released, leaving it a wonder who the murderer was. But when Obsidian was attacked in her home, with evidence of B&E, Foul Play, Sexual Assault and Obsidian disappearing all stacked against him, he was not free for long.

While locked up in the precinct, Calhoun and his new allies, Kumori, Assiminik and Rovdyr, launched an attack on the city, targeting the precinct to corner and eliminate Volcan -their original plan all along, which had a preverbal monkey wrench thrown into it by Volcan's alibi having him set free so early, and they killed or mortally wounded every cop that got in their way. His friends rushed to his aid, but Pavan, Tsume and even Vinge were all soundly defeated by Calhoun, causing Volcan to leap into the fray. However, he too was no match for Calhoun, but before he could be finished off by his dark look-alike, Lighris intervened, and managed to defeat Calhoun. However a corrupted Obsidian attempted to protect Calhoun, allowing the dark phoenix to escape, and Lighris was nearly forced to kill Obsidian as well until Akatsuki appeared and exorcised the corruption from her, freeing her from Calhoun's dark essence. Soon after this, Volcan confessed his feelings for Obsidian, but, believing that these feelings are what made her a target for Calhoun -either as a means to get to him or, in some sick and twisted way Calhoun himself desired her just as Volcan had, he dared not enter a relationship with her, fearing she would become an ever bigger target as she became a bigger part of his life.

Arc 4: Sons of Kleetra

A year after Calhoun's attack on Unity Falls, the I.T.O.U.E resurfaced, and enlisted Bounty Hunters to eliminate Volcan MacAingeal, including the renowned 'Hunter's Three', consisting of a mechanical Engineer, Vincent Kent, an ex-RCMP officer, Christine Gibbets, and the younger brother of Warwick Torison, also former Canadian Special Forces, Henry Torison. Volcan was finding himself overwhelmed by these hunters, but he was soon assisted by Kyle Darwinson -now Kyle O'Hare, who was released from prison on parole and had come back to Unity Falls, working as a Aviation Mechanic and also a trained pilot. With Kyle's aid, Volcan survived the attack by the Hunter's Three, but his troubles were far from over.

Barely a week later, Volcan encountered two bounty hunters, Korban, a superhumanoid husky with the genes of an ancient race known as 'Immortals', and one of the few remaining spellswords of the modern world, Kieran. Approaching Volcan as friends and fans at first, they attacked him later the same night of their meeting, and Volcan held his own until the arrival of Buniq, Tsume and Pavan. On the verge of defeat, both hunters fled, escaping both the Os-Nadarra and the police.
