Silverence Owainta Platon, also known simply as Paws, is part of a race called Ki'kiun; a furry mammalian race that live in varied regions in their world. Those who have shorter coats (such as Paws) hail from more temperate regions, where as those who have longer, more woolly coats live in more frigged and unforgiving environments.

All Ki'kiun start out life completely barren of any markings what so ever, but as they age, areas of colors begin to emerge. In the first 5 years of life, normally their eye color will elude to their true marking color.
