Hato is a puppy that found himself in New York after a little journey to find a dog that he believed was his father. After searching and learning about this 'Center of the Universe' he made his way there only to never find him.
Hato was born feral but he has this unnatural gift - a few in fact. One of which lets him become an anthro and skulk the city streets as a kid.

Mika was the one who helped him and took him in and even got him into schooling.
