The Cher to my Sunny, so that’s what I decided to name her.

She wears her biggest and favorite button, which she’s super proud of and loves showing off.

She can be found raiding trash and yards during the night, taking her new-found buttons (from lost and thrown away coats and sweaters) to a fountain or other place of water, and washing them off, heading home before daybreak. If she’s awake during the day, she’ll sneak around parks and nip off buttons from bags and coats from unaware humans.

She has an intense rivalry with Chip, who likes to collect small shiny things of his own, and shiny buttons are an overlap. He one day plans to raid her stash, if he can ever find and get to it.
