Personality: Tenderhearted, soft-spoken, and more than a little bit shy, Earth Angel is awkward in the presence of other ponies. Her conversational skills are not the most polished due to her isolated home life, and she is easily frustrated when approached in town or in unfamiliar settings. Being teased as a filly carved a deep scar of self consciousness in her, and she is extremely sensitive about her lack of flying ability. For the most part, she bares her insecurities quietly, and in all honesty speaks little of her thoughts and even less of her feelings.

Because of her delicate nature, it's difficult for her to make friends, and qualified candidates must possess understanding and patience when dealing with her. During her visits to town, she is cordial, but held aloft. She doesn't want ponies to see her true self, for fear of being ridiculed or shunned. She can be a very emotional mare, some days seemingly one word away from breaking into a million pieces. Because she carries herself like a victim, sometimes ponies from her old school still treat her rudely. Outside of Everfree, surrounded by a society she has never felt accepted in, she feels powerless to put an end to any ridicule she may encounter, wrapped up tight like a sleeping flower.

But in the forest, she blossoms. Within the confines of Everfree, surrounded on all sides by walls of trees which she has known since her filly days, Earth Angel is one with the land and confident in her abilities. She truly is, as they say, "in her element," and she acts accordingly with the way she talks to the way she carries herself. Amongst the trees and hanging moss and weeds, she finds comfort and courage. She has a clear grasp of Nature and its order, and doesn't bat an eye when an owl drops upon a rabbit, or a snake befalls a mouse. She has an unspoken bond with the earth, aided in part by the nature of her special talent (a distinct proficiency with plants), and the kelpie magic in her blood. She doesn't fear the forest - on the contrary, it is a part of her. And like a piece of the forest itself, she can mirror its strangeness, its wild beauty, and even its seemingly emotionless, uncaring seasons.

Birth Place: Everfree forest on the edge of a pond.

Home: Everfree forest, not far from where she was born. Bordering a marshland, she lives in a giant weeping willow, the boughs of which cover her tree home in a leafy veil. She has multiple gardens and greenhouses surrounding the area.

Job: Local gardener and plant supplier, with a specialization in ethnobotanical or toxic species.

Family: Water Willow (mother), Sundown Cloud (father).

Pets: A timber wolf, whose size changes depending on the season and how active he has been (after lots of activity, he loses branches and gets smaller). Named Timberius. Timberius passed away in the summer of 2014 due to a tree fungus.

History: Her father was an accomplished weather pony, and in the youth of his career days he crash landed in Everfree forest. He was met face to face with the hauntingly beautiful vision of a kelpie mare, her mother, who fell so in love with him at that instant, that she could not drown him. The connection stunned him as well, and soon Earth Angel was born to a blooming bog in the beginning of spring.

Her father, unable to accept a life in the terrifying Everfree forest, could not live with his kelpie bride, and the kelpie, physically unable to leave her watery home, bore her solitude with bitter understanding. But both parents loved their daughter, and in her early filly days Earth Angel was shared between the two of them in a joint custody relationship. Some years she spent with her mother in the puddles and banks of their beloved home, and some years she stayed with her father in Cloudsdale, and begrudgingly attended a school who's students mocked her for her unwillingness to fly.

Her fear of flying may have been instilled in her by her mother (who, perhaps out of bitterness, explained to Earth Angel how dangerous flying was and how foolhardy her father was because of it), or it may have been a very part of her genes. Kelpies are bound to the water, pegasi are bound to the sky, and a joining of both seemed to produce a filly with a connection somewhere between; the earth.

Her father was adamant to teach her the skill of flying, so confident was he that she would take after his talent. But all of her attempts resulted in misery, and at one point even serious injury. To this day, she does not fly. Early memories of her parents bickering over the ability led her to hate it, and after her last attempt ended in a hospital visit, she has not cared to try it again.

As she came into her teenage years, it became apparent to her father that she preferred the land, and by that time her talent had erupted. She remained in Everfree with her mother from then on, learning the ways of the world around her and eventually finding her niche in Ponyville (however obscure it was) by supplying medicinal plants to hospitals, ornamental plants to private parties, and mysterious plants to shady ponies.
