Lord Gilgamesh Harkonnen's life has not been an very good one. His father was an emotionally distant man and best, and constantly mocked the faults in his children, epsically the young Gil and his younger, more artistically inclined brother. Gil tried remaining idealistic, taking care of his weaker, emotionally sensitive brother.

Tradgety struck, his father poisoned, they disappeared. His brother, murdered by conspirators. And a civil war threatening to kill the rest of his family. Something in Gil snapped, and the offending rival family was wiped completely out during Gil's campaign, earning Gil admiration and fear nationwide.

As things settled down Gil began to feel regret over his actions, as he me his future wife during while setting upa spy network.

While gil doesn't think he's the best father, he at leats trie sto understand his children and connect to them, but suffers from extreme paranoia at times, Diana being one of the few who can talk him out of it. Gil is mostly a solitary creature, prefring his study, reading epsically on history, and listening to music collection. Gil is also rather fond of the snow of his homeland.
