A pony who is extremely interested in psychology and emotion, Refraction is, shorthand, a nerd. Dorky yet adorable, the second of which he is completely oblivious to, he has a tendency to go through his day trying to figure out what others are thinking... while trying not to run into lampposts.

Refraction has gone through a lot of versions; the one currently shown above is actually a precursor to another pony, Parhelion. Refraction was originally adoptable, but now he's defended.

When I was designing Refraction, I intentionally made him a Rainbow Dash clone... and then tried to diverge him from there. This was because he was originally a reversal genderswap of Rainbow Dash; if both her personality and gender were flipped.
