Banthin is a helldog, sometimes called a hellhound, demon dog, or devil's pet. Banthin, like many helldogs, was one of many guardians controlled by a demon named Barbas.

Unlike his siblings, Banthin was not very interested in maiming for his master. Although uncommon, other helldogs like Banthin do exist, though usually they are torn apart by other helldogs or demons early in life. Luckily for Banthin another demon took a liking to him and broke him free from Barbas's chains.

Once free Banthin followed his demon savior to the mortal world were he shrank and lost many of his more intimidating features. Banthin stayed with the demon briefly, but eventually the demon grew bored of him, as demons do, and left Banthin on his own.

Banthin found many things to love about the mortal world, one of his favorites being food and drink. Banthin LOVES to eat, and is not ashamed of the gut he has accommodated because of it. He also loves to drink, in fact he almost always has some kind of alcoholic mixture in his paws. Other things Banthin loves includes sex, which exists in hell but is not pleasurable, Television, Bright clear days, the smell of rainy days, and emotions such as love and happiness.

Banthin is very energetic, he loves to play around, he loves to meet new people, and most of all he just loves to act cute! Banthin does not have the capacity to speak, but he will communicate through barks, growls, whines, and rumbles. Banthin will never say no to food or drink, and in fact a sure sign he likes someone very much is if he offers them some of his food or makes food for them. Banthin loves to give doggie kisses as well!

Banthin cannot be killed, this is because he is not actually a mortal living being. If someone were to cut him in half they would find nothing but a skeleton made of glowing embers and a hot and almost liquid like black energy that acts like a slow acid on touch and cannot be removed from the body. If his body parts are severed, Banthin only has to put the part back on.
