Xarim Kaksoset is a freshman college student, majoring in Psychology. He aspires to be a psychiatrist and help others with their problems. He has a twin, Mirax, who he was close with when he was younger, but they are no longer on good terms (she can't stand him). As a child he was very timid and cowardly, so he relied on Mirax a lot to protect him. Eventually she ended up getting hurt, even losing vision in her left eye, and came to resent him for always putting her in those positions.

He is mostly quiet and prefers to sit back and listen, rather than involve himself in conversation. He still enjoys social situations, but is awkward and has a hard time expressing himself effectively to others so he gets nervous. He can be obsessive at times, and it is a well-known fact that he has a crush on Mirax's best friend, Shaonon. He lives in a dorm at his college, but previously lived at home with his parents, Ixi and Piiq; his twin, Mirax; and his cousin, Raxxar.
