Stakk comes from the incredibly sophisticated Loxodon species: elephant-like aliens that inhabit the planet Tydae and are considered the dominant species alongside the Chordota. For centuries, these quadrapedal creatures have lived in relative peace with the Chordota, serving a symbiotic relationship with the smaller, bidepal species and developing an intricate society together. Stakk was a respected scholar in his community, serving as a historian and maintaining records dating back many decades.

He lived with his Chordotan mate and their three young children until human military descended upon Tydae and began to colonize. Pacifists as they were, the Loxodon refused to take up arms against humans despite their repressive, destructive behavior, and many cities were quickly overrun and conquered. Loxodon and Chordotan citizens alike were captured, manipulated, or killed.

Desperate to defend his family and the small village he lived in, Stakk chose to reject his peoples' pacifistic ideals, and assaulted a human military unit when they descended upon his home. He single-handedly forced retreat from the unit, but simultaneously alienated himself from his species. He was deemed a barbarian and shunned from his society, sent away from his village to the barren deserts beyond. For weeks he maintained telepathic contact with his mate and children, while wandering wastelands and observing the colonization of human forces from afar.

It was the same day that his telepathic connection with his family was severed that Stakk was swarmed by human forces and arrested into custody as a criminal.

Stakk is a massive, sturdy creature with thick hide that can withstand considerable blunt-force and damage. He stands on four legs and uses his stronger, sturdier forelimbs to dig into dirt and propel his weight forward at faster speeds. While he cannot run for long durations without exhausting himself, he can charge in brief spurts to speeds of up to sixty-five miles per hour. Adding to this the reinforced armor-like carapace covering his face and upper body, he is capable of deadly force.

He uses the twin tentacle-like appendages that extend from his neck to grab and hold objects, and the pointed tip of his carapace can make for a deadly weapon. Four parietal eyes on his front and hind quarters take in refracted light, vibrational heat patterns, and perform a unique chemical process that allows him to see. His vision is similar to an amphibian, capable of making out shapes and certain fields of color, but unable to distinguish intricate details.

Stakk's tail is prehensile and can act as a third limb, often scooping up objects in the flat 'fan' at the end of it, or using it to cool himself in hotter temperatures.

Stakk is quiet, contemplative, and reserved. He is a being of genuine good, who believes strongly in his peoples' desires for pacifism, but also recognizes the necessity for aggression in times of self-preservation. He is known for his compassion, his patience, and his intellect, but can also sometimes grow weary or impatient of others that do not share his same sense of insight. After his banishment and the loss of his family, he has become considerably more bitter and judgmental, especially toward humans, and has even been known to show a bit of a temper.

He is eternally devoted to his mate and family, and thus has no interest in ever moving onto someone else or partaking in physical intimacy.
