Emily "Moxie" Alder is a self identified pretentious jerk and full-time flirt.

Moxie is one of those people in liberal arts college who believes everyone else is a stereotype of liberal art students and she's the only one who cares about art. Needless to say, she experienced burnout in her college career early on. She considers dropping out, but is more likely to switch majors to biology at this point. She and her girlfriend spend a lot of time playing video games together and making food after watching episodes of Top Chef (and usually being bad at making said food). Aside from her elitism, she does really enjoy listening to people talk about things they love, even if she dislikes that thing.
She's oblivious, nerdy, reserved, awkward, and spacey. She loves cute things, but rodents are terrified of her for obvious reasons. Her awkwardness was part of why her girlfriend loves her, but it makes Moxie's flirtatious nature be taken less seriously and more endearing than anything - fine by her, so long as someone thinks she's cute.
Moxie is polyamorous but doesn't really seek out romance like her girlfriend does. She waits for people to talk to her instead, because although she won't admit it readily, she's quite shy.

As a coral snake she is venomous, but she's also a vegetarian and very very careful with her teeth. She's only bitten someone once, during a very tense struggle. The person she bit didn't die, but was hospitalized for several days and given a ridiculous amount of antivenin. Moxie was so upset that she now wears transparent plastic caps over her fangs and cries if she so much as opens her mouth menacingly on accident. She flicks her tongue a lot when she's mad though.
