SilverWing is my primary Fursona. She has existed as such since 1997 in various forms. She was created as my persona as a Beast Wars character originally, and grew from there. She was a Sheltie through and through, originally part Sheltie/Falcon as a Beast Wars character/Silverbolt rip off, then I took away the Falcon when I created her as furry, feeling if I was truly an animal I "wouldn't be lucky enough to fly." This remained her design until 2013 when she "grew her wings" and the "Wing" part of her name came to truth as she grew to a new person and went through her own metamorphosis. She is now part Peregrine Falcon. She holds characteristics of both, though the Sheltie is stronger than the Falcon. She is ME as a dog/bird, pure and simple. These are the animals I would be if I was, well, an animal. The extroversive nature of a Sheltie, and the introversive nature of a Falcon.

SilverWing is based on the 4 Shetland Sheepdogs and one Australian Shepherd I have owned through my life, therefore her markings are somewhat unique compared to other shelties and collies. She is based on my own pet shelties: Travis, Ginger, Pepper, and Smokey - who all, coincidentally, had perked right ears and properly 3/4 folded left years. Her resemblance to my Aussie Dexter comes with her white eyebrow dots, plus a bit of her nose spots. These markings can be seen by looking at images of my dogs and then glancing at a picture of SW. I like to think the connections are apparent.

The biography I'm about to illustrate is a template I used to use creating character biographies on my personal websites. I used these for years and put lots of time and effort into them. I figured I'd bring them out for another swing. Why the fuck not. I'm about to go into a lot of detail, but I'm not picky on them. Markings: Light tan under eyebrows is the only location of this color fur on her body; white blaze on nose; dark brown spots on top of nose and belly leading to private areas the same color as tips on ears, back, back of shoulders, back of thighs, back of tail; medium brown on top of eyebrows/primary fur color; white underbelly, from elbows down, ankles down, tip of tail, around collar of neck.
HANDS are silver and black striped, like a falcon's feet would be. The fluff from her sheltie fur flows over her hands and leads to a smooth transition from fur into a more scale-like material.

Typical Clothing: Comfortable clothing usually. Sometimes has a hippie look, long flowy purple skirts, baggy tank tops, baggy tshirts. Sometimes goes for the old school look wearing baggy tshirts, mostly black Tool shirts with jeans. Wears purple t-shirts, animal t-shirts, TV logo t-shirts, other band t-shirts. Wears jean shorts, sweat shorts, sweat pants. Sometimes wears shorter skirts, can dress nice in long or short dresses, sometimes formal, sometimes flowy and hippie like, sometimes more gothic. Shoes - usually flip flops or comfortable sneakers. But can be caught wearing cowboy boots, combat boots, high heels, high heel boots, Uggs. Boots can be to the ankle, knee or thigh. Nurse outfits - purple Nurse scrubs with stethoscope, hair pulled up and out of the way. Sometimes wears a "doctor outfit" formal skirt suit set with a doctor jacket and appropriate shoes. Draw her gothed out, metaled out anything really! Everything purple is good.

Piercings: 2 holes in each lobe of ear. Right ear: 3 cartilage piercings, 1 tragus piercing. Left ear: 1 rook piercing. Belly button.
Jewelry: In all piercings except first lobes she typically wears your usual piercing hoops. In the first lobe of each ear she enjoys wearing long dangly earrings of various types, have fun with whatever you want to draw her with. Just make sure you include some purple. ;3
Tattoos: Large back piece of Tool's "Lateralus" logo. A "third eye" that is surrounded by a purple flame of various shades of purple. The eye itself is green, red and blue. There are 8 "spirals" of a bone type material protruding from the eye. One tattoo on right hip of a silhouette of a Shetland Sheepdog in purple. One tattoo on Left foot of Grandmother's name, "Mimi," in purple, the "I's of the name Mimi are dotted with a Moon and a Star. The name is surrounded with purple stars.
Scars: A lot. You can draw them if you want to. Legs, arms. Stitches, staples. You can draw her with fresh wounds or closed. Faded scars or new. I won't take offense to either, they are a part of me and I've come to accept them. She has very obvious vertical scars down her wrists, and very obvious horizontal scars arcross her calves and thighs. Also she is a klutz and has lots of bruises, cuts and burns all over at any given time, especially given she works in a deli with sharp and hot objects. :P
