"Милан Дмитриевич Новиков"

Milan lives in a dystopian society, ruled by an oppressive government that bleeds its citizens dry. Zhe was born to a writer father and an actress mother, and spent the first few years of zher life in comfort in the higher class. These days were short though, because when Milan was only 3, zhim and zher family was ripped apart by the escalating political climate; zher father had been writing anti-government articles for the underground resistance, and was found out. Milan's father was taken away, and zhe and zhis mother were taken to another city far away and dumped there.

Milan's mother, Ivana, struggled to keep Milan out of harm's way. It was such an enclosed space with so many desperate people. Food was scarce, and Ivana was frequently hassled by aggressive men. After a few months, the city was seized by the rebellion forces, many were killed, the entire city pillaged, and the survivors forced to run or captured. Milan and Ivana were approached by a rebel soldier who led them to safety, and promised to take them to a safe haven for refugees.

The soldier toured them around the snow fields for many months, arriving at what looked like an over sized pig pen of people. During their short stay at the camp, Milan was taken from zhis mother by the now hostile rebel soldiers, who made zhim dependent on a highly addictive upper, and trained zhim for battle.

Milan fought until zhe was 9, becoming a good little soldier for zhis superiors. Then during one run in with a troupe of government soldiers, zhe found zhis father again, and fleed with him into the icelands. Confused and angry, zhe resisted having to follow zhis father for no good reason besides he being zhis father, but respected his stern demeanor enough to carry on along with him.

The two search for Milan's mother, in a desperate attempt to reunite their whole family and escape the nation once and for all.
