Tall, constantly dripping and stringy with goo, Garrus is a living liquid. Taking on the form of a cobra naga with four arms, he unnaturally and unwillingly became a whole new level of predator in the evolutionary stages of life in this galaxy.

However, forcing others through his sinister plans to conform and subject to transformative procedures, is entirely at his own will.

Garrus has mastery over the form of liquid as long as it's part of him or liquids made of similar substances and not animated already or in the off chance it too is also alive.

Liquidshifting as it is known in this minority of creatures with this special ability, is liquid shapeshifting. While it may be they are in a gooey state constantly, shape and size may change in an instant to suit their needs.

Garrus came about the way he is now a long time ago in exploring ancient alien fleets and their weapon technology. An incident involving a lethal amount of the symbiote, which his body is now composed of, took away much but gave so much back.

His organic form was consumed by the symbiote, an alien bio weapon, intended to be used in small amounts on soldiers so that it would bond and form armour and weapons without consuming the host's body. His natural form of foxtaur and naga are genetically influenced as his naga friend disappeared in the attack by the living liquid weapon, he only was attacked last because his foxtaur form could carry him away faster.

The transformation to a cobra form to this day, makes him question whether it was a case of evolutionary decision by the symbiote.
