A character I adopted long ago from timetravlingtrilobte on dA. Eoghan is a green dragon/phoenix/tiger mix. He's a big soft teddy bear with a pacifist type nature and two hearts. He is a life elemental* that is weakened by the very presence of death. He travels a lot, meeting other races in his world and making friends. He has a naga travel companion, my best friend's runaway prince Akar. He has three forms and a illusion form from magic he's learned over the years. He carries a book of records with every race/sentient species he's met, with drawings/pictures of the race done by artists of that race. The markings on his chest indicate to his people that he was born double-hearted.

Humanoid Form: This form and the main form to find him in. His sclera are black, eyes glow and he can hide his wings at will, though the resulting appearance is odd due to him still possessing the muscles to power his wings. This is usually hidden by clothing.

Dragon Form: His second most common form, used with ease around his people or races that do not mind the presence of dragons. Large and muscular, he appears most like a typical DnD-style green dragon with some light influence from the tiger and phoenix blood in his people**.

Berserk Dragon: A form triggered by intense physical/emotional pain, Eoghan retreats to this form subconsciously when there is too much death surrounding him, sucking the life from everything within a small radius of his form in an attempt to preserve himself. This form has been triggered only a couple times, once by the near-death of his traveling companion and once by straying too far into human territory***.

Illusion Form - Human: Used to protect himself in areas that hunt down dragons and their kin. Appears with normal skin tone, only slightly pointed ears, non-glowing eyes with white sclera. Appears to be a pretty typical human or half-elf.

*Though elementals are common to Eoghan's people, Life elementals are not. Elementals are determined by genetics and the Life Element is a recessive homozygous mutation of the Nature Element gene. In order for it to manifest as Life and not Nature, two Life Elementals or two heterozygous-Life Nature Elements must have a child and even then it is not guaranteed. Life Elementals are both a boon and a curse depending on their temperament. A Life elemental can cause things to grow in infertile barrens, but should they leave, the life in the land will wither quickly without their influence. Older Life Elemental's magic ebbs and flows into and out of their body naturally. Thus they are known to "feed" off the energy around them but not harm it. Essentially the energy flows into the body in small amounts and is enhanced by the magic within the elemental. The elemental takes the section of the energy it needs to sustain itself and gives the rest back. While they mostly act as healers, the element can be used to harm. Some life elementals can drain the life from the body, thus killing even though it weakens them to be around death. When around death, the natural ebb and flow is disrupted and the magic within them tries to overcompensate by bringing life to the dead. This causes weakness in the elemental and they begin to wither, desaturating from their natural colors until death at total greyscale. On the opposite end is an abundance of life which causes saturation, making the elemental seem to glow or turn iridescent.

**Eoghan's people are a very secretive, remote people living high in the mountains. They are adept magic users with elementals very typical of their kind. Earth and Nature Elementals seem to be most common, followed by Water. Most older races believe Eoghan's kind to be extinct due to the nature of the mountains in which they hide and the ever changing landscape brought on by the Earth Elementals living there.

***Humans in Eoghan's world live in a barren wasteland of technology. There is little life there and the inner cities rely on the resources of the outer cities to sustain themselves. Most races have closed themselves off from the humans and therefore have become little more than myth.

Wow look at me. Actually writing stuff for my characters. Good job me. Its just because I know a lot about Eoghan's world and felt like writing today haha
