About Nakhoma

Nakhoma is a female dragon who makes her home typically on the peaks of snow capped mountains. Her body and features are less serpentine and more like a bird with her broad chest, short abdomen, and thick coat of soft downy feathers similar in appearance and feel to that of a Snowy Owl. The feathers on her head are longer and thicker than those on her neck and serve as a crest that rises and falls in a similar fashion to a Cockatoo, however here it is shown in its typical resting position.
Nakhoma's crest is sensitive to her emotions. Just like a cockatoo, it rises when she feels anxious, curious, agressive, excited, etc. Only when she feels sadness, depression, fear, etc or when shes sleeping does it ever lay flat against her head.

Her wings are built similar to than of an owl, and just like an owl she is absolutely silent when she flies. At the base of her tail she sports an array of long tails similar in appearance to a Macaw parrot that fans out when she flies and folds together when not in flight. Her forepaws have 5 fingers with opposable thumbs. Her hindpaws have 5 toes, 4 which face forward and a fifth that sticks out from the back in typical bird fashion which allows her to grip ledges and perches with her back feet. All 4 paws are covered in a thick, fluffy down like snowy owl feet.

The tick markings on her feathers are specific to various species of raptor birds, most common in Owls and Hawks.

Personality

Nakhoma is gentle, soft hearted female. She is a strong motherly figure who's first instinct is to care for and nurture those around her. She is very welcoming and non judgemental and will easily welcome even the worst kind of people into the safety of her wings and love them just the same. She sees only the good in others and is quick to forgive anyone who wrongs her. She is the embodiment of a mother's unconditional love and is very protective of those close to her or those who simply come to her seeking guidance and comfort. She is gentle and affectionate and enjoys being close to others.

Other Facts and Details
~Nakhoma has no "anthro" form. She is always feral.
~She does breathe fire, but very rarely does
~Her feathers, although downy, are coated in a natural water repellant oil that is strong enough to keep water from weighing her down. This allows her the ability to swim underwater for a time and immediately take flight from the water if necessary.
~Her feathers change colors with the seasons. During the winter time, her fethers are paler in color, appearing almost solid white. The coat you see above is her normal, non winter coating.

Want to draw her? Rules
1) She is NEVER to be in ANY adult or mature themed pictures...She is a character that has been with me for a very very very very very long time...she was me before Hashire was me and as such she means the world to me. If you want to draw a picture with her or commission a picture with her, it will either be clean or nothing. No exceptions.

2) Ask me before you draw her/ commission her. I have to approve your idea...if I say no, the answer is no and you may not beg, bitch, or really do much of anything except say "ok".

3)You may not include her in any writing unless I approve of her role.

4)You may not use her for roleplay. She is extremely personal to me...please respect that. if you want to roleplay with me as her, our roleplay must be strictly story based with absolutely zero sex.

5) yes I will be happy to draw you with her...as long as its clean, I will draw her in a picture with you and just like the rest of my characters, you will not have to pay a second character fee since its one of my own characters.
