She's able to control fire and she's able to perform spells and cast powerful curses, she's not pure blooded.
She might be a hybrid but is the blood line she comes from that makes her deadly. Her father was a pure blood demon and her mother a pure blood vampire.
Hungry for power, She tricked her younger half-brother Noah (who was the rightful heir) and vanquish him.
Noah (unlike his Half-sister Shantir) he is a pure blooded demon and was vanquish not before Shantir casted a curse upon him that didn't allow him to fully reach his powers and for that reason he's in constant danger.

Shantir is the one that kept Cedric prisoner for almost two decades trying to harvest Lycaon's powers sleeping inside him to later steal them from him. however, Cedric escapes just before she could do that.

During Cedric's captivity Shantir kidnapped William (one of Cedric's sons) while he was still an infant and raise him to hate his own father.
(*IMPORTANT POINT- By this time, Cedric was unaware that had children. he was capture just before he knew his wife was pregnant with twins) William now (with 22 years of age) discovers the truth and now seeks redemption.

Shantir discovers that the only way to fully awake Lycaon inside Cedric is by braking down his soul and will to fight and that's the reason she murders Cedric's wife. She made it look like accident during a fight just to hide her true intentions.
She's now taking down Cedric's loved ones one by one slowly driving him into madness.
